Updates feature new maps that focus on ecological function—the ability of plants and animals to interact as needed in order to thrive, reproduce, migrate, and move, even as the climate changes. As such, it highlights Vermont Conservation Design: networks of forests, waterways, and features that work together to maintain Vermont’s ecological landscape.

We’re happy to provide trainings for groups, organizations, town conservation or planning commissions, other municipal officers and staff, or others! We’ll tailor the training to the needs and abilities of the group, and we can provide interpretation of the maps as needed.Be sure to check out the “Using BioFinder” menu on the website for more tips and guidance on how to interact with the maps and tools, too.
