DRAFT MEETING MINUTES

1. CALL TO ORDER
The Vice-Chair called the meeting to order at approximately 6:12 p.m.

2. ATTENDANCE
Members Present:  Julie Rutz, Vice-Chair; Tony Micklus, Clerk; Henry Bonges.
Members Absent:  Lori Donna, Chair; John Lindsay. 
Staff Present:  Jacob Hemmerick, Planning Director. 
Public Present:  None. 

3. AGENDA REVIEW
None. 

4. PUBLIC FORUM
None. 

5. STAFF UPDATES
Staff shared some reading material regarding infrastructure maintenance and spoke about the status of the Municipal Planning Grant and the formation of a steering committee to coordinate the project.  The Work Plan for the Planning Office’s summer intern was reviewed, as was the next meeting in the 2017 Planning Forum series (Transportation theme, scheduled for March 29, 2017).

7. BUSINESS
7(A). Unified Regulations
The group reviewed their timeline and work plan, and tentatively agreed on several Saturday meetings.  Staff will follow up with a confirmation email. 

The group then continued review of the Unified Regulations, discussing details related to the following topics: 

·        Home Occupations
·        Planned Unit Development (PUD) standards
·        Density calculations and density bonus
·        Lot coverage
·        Buffering standards and green space
·        Conservation areas
·        Primary and secondary resources
·        Conservation subdivisions and PUDs
·        Clustering of units within a Zoning District – both rural and urban options
·        Base Zoning Districts and Overlay Zoning Districts
·        Cottage/Tiny house communities
·        Community buildings
·        Design features and standards
·        Parking standards
·        Waivers and other flexibility items built in to the regulations

MOTION by Bonges to approve the Minutes as written; SECOND by Micklus.  Unanimously APPROVED.

9. ADJOURNMENT
MOTION by Bonges to adjourn at approximately 7:55 p.m.; SECOND by Micklus.  Unanimously APPROVED.
